Iris Volg is an adviser at the Independent Evaluation Department for Norwegian Development Cooperation, specialising in quantitative analysis. She previously worked as a researcher at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (PRIF) and at Goethe University Frankfurt’s Institute of Political Science. She holds an M.A. in International Studies & Conflict Research and a B.A. in Politics & Society, and is nearing completion of her PhD in Political Science.

She is also an Associate Fellow at the Trace Research Center Transformations of Political Violence. Her expertise lies in quantitative methods and conducting large‑N studies on intrastate conflict, peace processes, and civil society, along with advisory experience in transport and the green transition.
