
Linda Hjelle joined the Independent Evaluation Department of Norwegian Development Cooperation in April 2026. She brings experience from Norwegian and international development cooperation, diplomacy, multilateral engagement and peacebuilding.
Most recently, she served as a Programme Adviser in the Section for Private Sector and Public Institutions at the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (Norec).
Prior to that, she worked as a Political Affairs Officer in the Asia and Pacific Division of the United Nations Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (UNDPPA) in New York, supporting conflict prevention and risk reduction efforts.
Earlier, she was an Adviser at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beijing (2017-2021), focusing on political analysis and bilateral cooperation projects. She is experienced in project management, international cooperation and diplomacy, and building effective partnerships built on trust.
