This is an evaluation of the United Nations Development System’s (UNDS) Socio-economic response to COVID-19 and covers the period of 2020 to mid-2022. The evaluation is executed on behalf of the Executive Office of the Secretary General, and follows the prestudy published in 2021.
In March 2020 Norway took initiative to establish a new UN Fund – the UN COVID-19 Response and Recovery Multi-Partner Trust Fund. Immediately after the establishment, the Department for Evaluation in Norad took initiative to get in place a real-time evaluation of the fund’s work. The Department has supported the evaluation through grants and contributed with advice in the planning and completion of the report, including through participation in the reference group for the evaluation.
