The Women´s Grant in Bilateral Assistance

The main purpose of the evaluation is to assess the effectiveness and efficiency in the use of the Grant in bilateral development assistance, and also the Grant's catalytic effects on gender relationships in regular development activities.

This report should be seen in connection with the Phase 1 evaluation (1989) which addressed the Grant as an instrument of the Norwegian WID-policies. The main focus was the administrative set up seen as analyzed by review of documentation and information available in Norway and a visit to two multilateral agencies supported by the Grant; World Bank and Unido.
