A major objective for the Joint Indo-Norwegian Evaluation - Committee (JINEC) was to assist NORAD in making the decision whether Norwegian assistance to the ITMMEC was to continue and make recommendations on requirements for possible further assistance to the development of the Centre. The Norwegian assistance is given under Project IND 014 which also regulates the relationship between the Centre and the Norwegian partner - The Foundation for Scientific and Industrial Research at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (SINTEF).
